For our client CustomFab, in Garden Grove, Orange County, California – digitally printed custom color vinyl, contour cut for graphics, stripes, and text, along with frosted privacy vinyl for the entry glass doors.

Recent work – Customfab aluminum monument

Recently Big City Signs was awarded the task to provide a new monument sign for the offices of this organization in Garden Grove, Orange County, California. We were to replace an ancient (it seems!) steel single-sided monument sign with a new two-sided aluminum sign with dimensional stainless steel letters and logo. Below, some details of the project.

First, the project had to go through approvals, of course, with various responsible people in the company. The final revision ended up looking like this:

 

After that was approved, it was on to get the permit from the city. A minor change or two, and that part went through. On to the concrete footing!

 

Meanwhile, back in the shop, the aluminum cabinet was being fabricated, and the letter studs pre-drilled to be attached on-site on installation day.

 

 

So after a long day of assembly on site, here is the final result – along with a very happy client:

 

Recent work – dimensional building logo

Heiden’s, a food processing company in Anaheim, in Orange County, California got a new building sign this week, branding their new facility. The sign is 7 ft. X 6 ft. dimensional wall sign with 3 in deep foam backing on black acrylic.

This sign was created in several sections with final assembly on site.

The foam backing was laser cut with holes for the studs that were mounted to the wall. The paper template created from the laser-cutting pattern had those holes marked in pen — I just drilled the wall and set the studs in epoxy. The pieces were then installed with silicon for a permanent hold. The sections fit easily and perfectly over the studs, so that everything lined up as one piece.

The logo lent itself to cutting into sections, with the gold lines as the dividing point, so that the visual effect would make it look like one piece. In addition, the lettering and gold lion parts were laser cut using the same pattern and applied over the pieces to add more camouflage to the fact that the logo was actually done in sections.

 

 

So, here’s the final result — a great looking building logo, and another happy client.
